    • Blade tabs are covered - Same Design as Titanium Baby Smooth
    • Glossy finish on Handle and Matte (blasted) finish on Head

The intention of the RazoRock Baby Smooth was to design and build a safety razor specifically for sensitive skin and for daily shaving. The criteria was:

    1. The razor must be easy to use and finding the correct attack angle must be intuitive
    2. The cutting action must be efficient but mild
    3. The geometry of the head must aid in reducing the occurrence of ingrown hairs and razor burn
    4. The handle must be comfortable but provide optimal grip even if used with the slickest of shaving soap, cream or oil
    5. The razor must be build using CNC machining
    6. The razor must offer unparalleled value-for-money in the double edge safety razor market

It’s built from billet and rod 6061 aluminum. It’s finished with an anodized coating to protect the aluminum from oxidation over the long term. All three of the posts in the top cap are fully machined from one piece of billet aluminum, no tacked or spot welded posts.

      Specifications:

      Complete Length: ~ 98 mm

      Handle Length: 90 mm

      Handle Diameter: 13 mm

      Weight: ~37 grams (1.3 oz)

      Material: 6061 aluminum

Finish: Anodized finish(Handle is glossy and head is matte blasted)

Build: CNC machined head (billet), CNC lathe turned handle (rod)

NOTE: Please do NOT expect perfection with these razors. Although the quality is extremely high, the razor probably will not be absolutely 100% perfect. They are machined and finished to a very high user grade, not a jewel piece, the odd mark or blemish can be expected and there may be very tiny spots of color variations on the anodizing that arise from where the parts are held in the anodizing process.  If you are looking for or expecting jewel quality, this probably isn't the razor for you.

      Lightweight, but solid

I stripped the threads on my old razor, so I upgraded to this aluminum head/handle. Construction is sturdy and it maintains a snug hold on the blade, allowing for a close and careful shave.

You should know that the aluminum handle is *very* light though, which might feel awkward if you're used to a heavier steel head. Make sure your blade is sharp, and you'll get a smooth shave. You're going to cut up your face if you have to muscle through it.

Overall, I'm quite happy with the quality and shave for this razor, though it took some time to adjust to the light weight. And it's priced very fairly for something that could last a lifetime.

Razor is too light so I added a standard weight handle for a better shave. Because of the low shaving angle of the razor, it was hard for me to pick up the trimming lines around mustache and beard. Overall closeness was pretty good. Not as good as my Rockwell 6C though.

      A good aluminum razor

The Baby Smooth aluminum razor is a good DE razor. It's well-made and does a good job without worry for nicks.

It took a while before I found the best razor to skin spot which turns out (for me) to be toward the safety bar and away from the cap. Once I got there, I found the razor comfortable and efficient.
