What is a RazoRock SLOC?
SLOC is an acronym for Self Lubricating Open Comb.
The RazoRock SLOC is based on a 1940's vintage razor called the Grand Shave King Self Lubricating razor.
What makes the SLOC different is the open comb teeth on both the top cap and the base plate. The design helps to trap extra shaving lather in the teeth providing extra lubrication and glide on each stroke of the razor. Some people even call it the ultimate blade buffing razor because you can go over the same spot several times with less chance of irritation.
The RazoRock SLOC uses any standard double-edge (DE) razor blades.

I have no complaints. I have very thick, coarse, and fast growing hair with skin that is not overly sensitive with two swirls on my neck. I used to have to do between 3 to 4 passes on my old EJ89. With this, I only need 2 to 3 passes for a super smooth finish. Less passes mean less chance for irritation.
Razorock brought it to me in a very affordable, fast shipping, great customer service way. It's an awesome shave, and I would 100% recommended it for someone looking at open comb heads. The chrome finish is so nice to me. I like the blade feel on the open comb heads.
Pictured with a feather (yellow) blade.
Great razor at an amazing price. I pull out my SLOC when I have 3 or more days of growth and it mows it down without irritation. 👍👍
I have many razors but this is now my go to.
It’s so impressive that blades I have labelled average or less, perform so much better. Gentle and efficient.
First time I have used the Italian Barber and I found them to be a good service at a good price. Would definitely recommend.
This razor is VERY mild. Most days I'm an aggressive razor guy. But sometimes, I want to baby my face, and that's when I reach for my SLOC. It gives a clean shave without endless buffing and touching up, and it does the job without irritation. Plus, at the price, it's a "can't go too far wrong" proposition.
While browsing the website in search of a Game Changer, the SLOC stood out—especially since an open comb wasn’t yet part of my collection. The description sparked curiosity, and the price made it an easy choice. Upon arrival, I paired with a twice-used Astra blade. Same pre-shave routine as all the other shaves. After two passes and a bit of touch-up in the usual trouble spots, the results were impressive. I've had BBS shaves before, but this was on another level—exceptionally smooth with zero irritation. If you ever decide to make one in SS you definitely have a customer!

from 7606 reviewsI use this every day after my shower...and on a brush all over my
face and neck after my shave (wet shave).....terrific fragrance...can't to wrong with anything from Italy.......
Love the smell of this product.
This is a great stand that matches my MJ-90A razor and Plisoft brush. The Bruce handle Plisoft brush just fits into the stand at the knot. The handle doesn't fit but if you don't mind hanging it up high the stand works great. It has plenty of weight at the base to keep it from sliding around and their is a nice soft bit of foam underneath to prevent scratches to laminate counter tops. Great stand for a great price.
Even though the specs say a 26mm knot will fit I don't think anything much bigger than 24mm will fit. I would size up if your brush knot is bigger than 24mm or the handle is big like the Bruce.
I have nothing to compare this razor to because I am knew to single blade DE shaving. However, when I went to buy the "best" beginner razor, I found a bunch of reviews that were frustrated with the handle breaking off. One lone reviewer suggested that the RazoRock MJ-90A was the way to go so here I am. This thing, as advertised, is incredibly precise. The parts fit together perfectly and the blade is held precisely where it needs to be. It was so easy to load a blade. I love the machined stainless handle. It looks modern and cool but is plenty easy to grip with wet hands. I like the heavy handle paired with the aluminum head as well. I feel like that combo shifts the center of gravity down the handle of the razor a bit which I think I will like.
I have an angular face and medium/coarse hair that requires a daily shave. I have shaved with a Gillette Fusion 5 Proglide blade for years and that was the best cartridge shave I could get. This razor is no more aggressive on my face than that and in two passes with a Derby blade (and a beginner's lack of confidence) I got the best shave of my life! I wouldn't want anything more aggressive than this for my skin for awhile. If you are worried about the big gap or aggressiveness of this razor at all I would probably get the BBS standard instead.
From a customer service standpoint the the Italian Barber has been awesome. Plenty of info on the site to help me figure out if this was a good razor for me. Fast shipping and free since I was getting kitted out of the first time. Prices as good as Amazon. And I was pleasantly surprised to find a 5 pack of Derby blades in the box with my razor! Thanks for the unexpected, but appreciated, gift!
I like this line of soap from RR. I treat it like Mitchell's Wool Fat soap but I like the lather from the RR Pucks much better than the Michell's. Pre-soaking the puck and face lathering with a loaded brush creates an unbelievably thick, rich creamy lather. leaves my skin moist. look up how to on using hard milled soaps or mitchell's to get the best out of these at a very economical price.
Love this handle. Same size as the Merkur 34c handle but stainless steel. Pairs wonderfully with the RazoRock GC .68. Highly recommend!
This has got to be the smoothest razor out there. Its kind of like a Muhle R89 in terms of smoothness but its much better quality and tighter tolerances. I'm glad i got it, i have been using it as a daily driver.
The brush is great. One of my favorites. Holds a ton of lather and its pretty great price !
Just received, took an immediate shave. IB always delivers fast and is great shop. The RR Blue, both cream and aftershave, are excellent imo. I remember floid, this interpretation is great. Easily fills the floid :).
I'll soon be 54 years old in my humble opinion the Game Changer .76- P is top notch it is the best shave I have had since I started shaving in my teens Gentleman pull the trigger on this product you might want to try different blades but the razor itself is a Champion I wish I could give it 10 stars but the review would only let me give 5
I've been shaving with a 26mm and thought I'd like a 24. I saw this and said it may be small. No it's not. Just right for me.
Smooth razor. It isn't a beginner razor with a. 95 gap. Mild blade exposure makes it shave with ease though. If you have the . 72 and like it you'll love this. I'm impressed with the mildness of this.
Very similar in performance to a vintage Gillette adjustable on ≈ #6 - #7. Comparable to a Parker 78R as well.
A little smoother than a Gillette adjustable and a little closer/more efficient than a 78R.
The corner notches and no blade overhang are great design features!
Smell is delicious and the slickness is devine. Easy lathering and for the money it can't be beaten. Thanks Razorock! Another winner.
