It has a trap door on the bottom

The pictures don't show you that this particular make of blade bank has a square plastic cap on the bottom so that you can easily take your used blades out. Why would you want to do that, you ask? Because it makes a great disposal bank that sits neatly in your drawer but I think the white plastic blade tucks are better for actual disposal. Once I've got a whole bunch of blades in this blade bank (say 50), I pop off the cap and take them out and stuff them into a white plastic dispenser (the kind that comes with Feather or Derby blades) which I then wrap in gaffer tape before tossing out. Why pay 5 bucks to dispose of blades safely when many blade brands come with a free dispenser/blade bank. Takes 5 minutes.

Well worth an additional two bucks

I was surprised when I pulled this thing out of a box I recently received from Italian Barber. It is much bigger than I expected; it should hold at least 100 blades! An essential should you have kids or curious pets. Also much safer, sanitary, and more considerate than merely tossing a used blade directly in the trash. It adds an additional $0.02 to the cost of each blade, but it is money well spent.

Does what it needs to do

I tossed this into a recent order. It is simple, discrete and small enough to set in my shallow medicine cabinet. The bottom come off but ins't lose. I did superglue it on though to keep curious hands away from it.
