  • RazoRock Shaving Soap Stick - Black Label

Shaving soap sticks have been around traditional wet shaving for decades but if you are new to shaving with a brush and soap you may be wondering what this product is. A shaving stick is really easy to use; you prepare your beard by washing it with warm water and if you desire, applying a little bit of pre shave, then you wet the stick with some hot water and rub it all over your beard stubble in circular motions. When you have a nice thin layer of soap covering your stubble, you then begin creating a lather right on your face with a damp shaving brush. Make sure to spend a few minutes working in the lather and add droplets of water to the brush hairs/fibers if needed. If you have a thinner beard on your cheeks, you may want to rub more soap into the chin area of your beard, for most men, the chin stubble is the thickest and easiest area to apply soap from a stick. Remember that creating lather with a shaving soap stick is a learned art, give it a good 15-20 shaves before determining if you like it or not, you probably won't get the best of lathers the first few attempts. Patience will be rewarded!

    I like soap better

The razorock what the puck brand is one of the best soaps I have ever used. I compared with $3000 of soap and this stuff wins on performance, portability, value and for me the scent is what I am looking for.
Performance is good, lots of lather and very little time needed to build a sufficient three pass shave. The shave is always close for me, and does not need more than a three pass. So no irritation at all for me.
Portability is the stick the best for hotel shaving, I think so. It's not as luxurious as a tin or large cream though it gets the job started for me. All I need is a badger and a stick and I'm comfortable for the week.
Value, the triple mill soaps are from Italy and they are a triple crown winner for me! When in a rotation I feel like these soaps l last forever.
Scent is great. I like the barber blue, black, green and and yellow label.
For general every day use I look for an affordable soap and the razorock always is in my rotation though specifically the what the puck formulation.
The aftershave is a European formula with lots of alcohol and the scent usually lasts for several hours. If you only need the soap then it's good for a few minutes and fades, and that's fine by me. I wear as a man who sweats for work often and just needs a quick shave at 4am.
Form factor of the stick is great, some might like the bowl lather better though I think every shave den should have both pucks and sticks.

    Great Slickness And Cushion.

In all honesty I've only used it once, I got a little too much water on my brush and still got great slickness and good cushion, and the post shave feel was outstanding. It's amazing that this isn't a tallow soap. And the scent is outstanding, I bought the three pack and used this one first purely because I liked the way it smelled, it's pretty hard and I worried it would be tough to get enough on my beard to lather but it was a breeze. Easy to use, easy to lather, great performance, and it smells amazing.

A most awesome scent! And really performs.

I bought the four-pack; so far, this is the only one I've used. It lathers well; nice cushioning and slickness. And the SMELL! Magnificent! I have over 20 creams, soaps and sticks - but this one is my favourite so far (there's still the other three sticks to try... but I just keep going back to this one).
If you're reading this, you're already considering buying it. All I can say is - look at the price. What do you have to lose? It really is a great soap - and at that price, an amazing bargain. When I use it up, I'll buy it again (or maybe the puck).
