    Scent: Fresh and clean; the classic Italian Colonia scent, some people refer to it as the classic Italian Barber Shop scent. Inspired by Acqua di Parma Colonia Classica.

    Scent Olfactory Pyramid:

    Top Notes: Bergamot, Orange, Lemon, Orange Blossom
    Heart Notes: Lilac, Lavender, Rose, Basil
    Base Notes: Hay, Tonka Bean, Patchouli, Musk, Sandalwood, Oakmoss 


    Ingredients: Stearic Acid, Water(Eau), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Potassium, Hydroxide, Sodium Hydroxide, Tallow Acid, Hydrogenated Lanolin, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea)Butter Fragrance(Parfum), Argania Spinosa (Argan)Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Extract(Aloe), Amylcinnamic Aldehyde , Benzyl Alcohol, Citral, Coumarin, Eugenol, Geraniol, Hydrocitronellal, Limonene, Linalool, Isoeugenol, Oakmoss(Evernia Prunasti).

    Smells fine lots of razor drag

    The scent is fine, I like it a lot. lathers well with a soft brush. But it does not provide any sort of slickness. I find that it promotes lots of drag on the razor which is not what you want in any type of shave soap.

    I resorted to adding glycerine which did not help, tried pres-shave oils and pre-shave soap but nothing so far has eliminated the tugging it causes on my SS razors.

    This soap is easy to lather, has great sickness. The scent reminds me of Pledge furniture polish.

    Excellent Shaving Soap With Pleasant Scent

    This is an excellent shaving soap with an enjoyable scent. A bargain at its recent $4.99 sale price and worth its regular price if you like the scent. Easy to create slick and luxurious lather by scooping into my shaving bowl and building lather with my RR Monster or Big Bruce plissoft brushes. Scent, while a bit sharp in the container, mellows out into a pleasant aroma that stays with the lather throughout the shave. Note that the lather is the same high quality as the RR Classic Italian. Noticed no difference from the addition of tallow (#6 on ingredient list). The reason to upgrade to XXX is for the scent. This croap has a soft texture that is easy to scoop.
