  • RazoRock Yin & Yang Double Edge Safety Razor (Mission & Mentor heads)

Here we give you the best of both worlds. You get our Protege and Mentor heads combined with our RazoRock Knurled 316L stainless steel handle. When you are feeling passive, you can use the Misson head, when you are in an aggressive mood you have our Mentor head.  It's also a great option for people looking to start off with a mild shaver and eventually work up to something more efficient.

    Weight: 3.1 oz / ~88 grams

Heads: You get both our Mission and Mentor razor heads

    Head Material: Chromed Zinc Alloy

Handle Material: Polished 316L Stainless Steel

    Handle Length: 90 mm

    Handle Diameter: 13 mm

What makes this razor so special:

    • Machined 316L stainless steel handle, 90mm length, versus our competitors who give you a hollow handle that is made with lower quality material
    • REAL & DEEP knurling on the handle, giving you a sturdy grip with wet hands.  Our competitors use a “knurl looking” pattern that does not offer the same amount of grip.
    • SOLID WEIGHT, 3.1oz, preventing razor skipping and jumping
    • High quality chroming that offers a smooth and mirror finish; allows the razor to be quickly and easily cleaned
    • SUPERIOR BALANCE!  2:1 handle-to-head weight ratio, that makes the razor easy to control and effortless to shave with
    • The BEST VALUE of any double edge safety razor in the world
    • Replacement blades only cost 10 to 15 cents each, when purchased in bulk packs.
    • Two heads - Get both the Mission and the Mentor allowing you to use a more mild or more aggressive head with the same handle.

Not the Review You Were Expecting

I purchased this razor about a month ago. I liked the idea of two heads, and the low price was also a draw. I prefer a mild shave, but I also have a somewhat aggressive razor in my den that I also enjoy using. I first shaved with the Mentor head on two days of growth. I found this to be a very aggressive head with levels of blade feel that I just didn't care for. Next, I tried the Mission head on a single day of growth. This was better, but there was still too much blade feel and I finished that shave with several weepers and nicks. I felt that perhaps I had wasted my money. Then I got the idea to try the Mentor base plate with the Mission cap. I was amazed at what I had discovered. I couldn't believe how smooth this setup was. I got the mild shave I was hoping for when I bought this razor, yet it was still very efficient. I've used this setup three times, and each time I come away thinking I'd be satisfied with this as my only razor. I get BBS with almost no effort, no nicks or weepers, and no irritation as long as I remember to use a very light touch. Finally, the bulldog handle is the secret gem of this razor. The heavy, solid handle makes using this razor a real joy. My only complaint is the care needed to get accurate blade alignment. I was also confused when the razor arrived, since the heads were not labeled. Even so, I would recommend this razor.

    Good razor

Just got my razor last week and used it last weekend. Weight of the razor is good, very solid in the hand and well built. The price is great for getting 2 shaving heads and a solid stainless steel handle. The one thing I don't like about it, is the way the sides of the blades are exposed, instead of hidden, like alot of other heads are made. You have to be careful when unscrewing the handle and replacing the blades.
It came with some free Derby blades, the actual cut was good, but they irritated my face and nicked my upper lip in a few spots. I won't be using those again.
Once again very good razor but the head could be a little wider to hide the sides of the blade. Other than that, I'm satisfied. Will buy more products from here in the future, shipping was fast and order was perfect with other blades I bought with this order.

    Nice set

This is a great set with an awesome handle. Mentor is slightly aggressive but not over the top. Mission is milder, but I still get the blade feel I like. I need to expand my blade collection so I'm sure to get the proper pairing. So far personna blue on the mission, and Astra green on the mentor. I didn't like the mentor with a feather blade, it was a little too much. All other blades I have tried were ok .

    Very pleased

I have been shaving for 35years and have never used a double edge razor. I "used" one of Dad's razors (with no blade) when i was three back in 1975, but I don't think that qualifies. The Yin and Yang is an excellent opportunity to get into double edge shaving [you have options]. The two head is a wonderful idea. With only one head you are stuck with what you have and nothing else. This way you can use which one is best suited for you. I am very pleased with the quality of the handle (sturdy). For the price you can't go wrong, thank you for a well built product! A+!!!!

    Best Set to Start

I have been on a quest for the best bang for the dollar, and this razor combo is my pick.
I used a Progress for ten years and only have been adventuring for something new during the last year. The Mission head is to mild for my daily razor, but it seems like a great head for someone to cut their teeth on. I ended up pairing the Mentor base with a SLOC top; it gives me great shaves effortlessly while leaving my face moisturized from the self lubing nature of my combination.
All of the above, plus a quality 316 SS handle makes this the best value on the market I have found so far.
