  • RazoRock "What the Puck?!" Shaving Soap - Red Label (REFILL PUCK)

For a long time you've been asking for it, a triple milled hard puck from RazoRock! Admittedly, it took us a while to get this project off the ground. There just isn't many artisans left making triple milled hard shaving soaps, it's a dying art. Maybe it was luck, maybe destiny, but we were contacted by a small, four person (one family), artisan shop in northern Italy that was up to the task. After many test formulations and a personal visit to their shop, we're excited to tell you that we found the perfect hard puck formula for RazoRock! In typical RazoRock fashion, we believe you'll find the quality and the value to be unmatched in the marketplace.  We have decided to eliminate the plastic container and instead to stretch wrap the pucks to reduce the amount of plastic waste and keep prices as low as possible.

Lathering Tip: This is a hard triple milled soap so loading your shaving brush and creating a great lather will take longer than a soft soap, cream or croap. If you've used Tabac or Mitchell's Wool Fat the technique will be similar, about 45-60 second of good loading and then a minute or two of creating the lather, adding droplets of water to your brush or lathering bowl, as need. The finished lather should be a nice yogurt consistency.

    Scent: Classic Italian Almond

Size: 100 grams (3.5 oz) Refill Puck - Approximately 8cm (3.15 inch) Diameter - Stretch Wrapped

    Artisan made in Italy.

Triple milled recipe, enriched with Shea Butter and Lanolin.

What the Puck hard shaving soaps are great to drop into your favorite mug or shaving bowl; they can also be rubbed on your face and used as a shaving stick or lathered by holding the soap in your palm. They are formulated to be left out in the open air, there is no need to cover them after use.

Ingredients: Potassium Palmate, Sodium Palmate, Potassium Stearate, Potassium Palm Kernelate, Sodium Stearate, Potassium Cocoate, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Glycerin, Aqua, Parfum (Fragrance), Palm Kernel Acid, Glyceryl Caprylate Caprate, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Lanolin, Pentasodium Pentatate, Tetrasodium Etidronate.

Excellent hard puck. Lathers very well and has good slickness. It's a best buy in shave soap.

A big thank you to RazoRock for making this available!

Some folks prefer soft shaving soap; some prefer triple milled. I like mixing both, to get the best of both worlds. I've been a big fan of RazoRock WTP triple milled soaps since I first tried them, and I'm also a fan of a number of RazoRock soft shaving soaps, including P.160. The only problem was, there were no WTP triple milled scents that really went well with P.160. I've heard that P.160, many years ago, was available in a hard version. A couple of years ago, I contacted RazoRock, requesting if they might consider bringing back the old hard version of P.160, but perhaps using the WTP triple milled formula. I'm not sure if my request had anything to do with the new Red Label WTP or not, but this is just what I wanted. Despite both the Red Label WTP and P.160 being "almond scent", the two products do not have identical or even similar scents. They are quite different, but I like both, and they pair very well together. It's so good to finally have this product in my hands (and on my face).
