    Fatip, the Italian razors with the original brass head, are handmade in Premana, district overlooking the lake Como, well known thanks to the expertise and skilled production of metals.  The well-balanced design perfectly ensures a refined, precise shaving experience.

    In 2015, Fatip used their experience and expertise to develop an entire new razor head called the "Testina Gentile" or in english "Gentle Head".  Their traditional open comb design is legendary in tradionational wet shaving circles for it's efficient and aggressive shaving attributes.  The Testina Gentile is a totally different approach, it's a mild yet efficient design that flexes the blade more than average, similar to the Merkur 45 and RazoRock Baby Smooth.  Fatip has achieved all the perfect balance of efficiency and safety.

    This 42122 model has a chrome plating.

    Bought this razor on a hunch....I like a mild razor....great two pass shave...you don't have to press hard......I like all things Italian in the shaving world......this is great razor at a great price...and smooth transaction by IT

    Outstanding razor!

    This razor is perfect for me. I was hesitant to buy the open comb models of the Fatip, so I chose the Testina Gentile. I am very impressed, and I may order a second one. It is very easy to find the appropriate angle and get an outstanding shave. I highly recommend this razor for beginners and seasoned shavers like me. Great bang for the buck.

    Using an Icarus based soap, it was mild enough to pair with a Feather blade for a care free shave. Next came a Pol Silver that highlighted it's efficiency and smoothness. Suspect the same would result with a 7 O'clock Black or a Goal. Nice razor, great value.

    Good smooth razor

    Provides a nice smooth and efficient shave. Vey mild. Pretty good shave for an inexpensive razor. Handle has some rough spots that seem a little sharp. The head has some slop when installing the blade. Workmanship only fair but again the shave is smooth.

    I was looking to add a brass razor to my rotation, but had been reluctant to consider Fatip due to the aggressive reputation. I then heard about the Gentle and decided to try one.
    The razor is a very smooth shaver. It is efficient as well, but very very smooth. The razor glides more than my other razors and they don't pull or tug. A single pass DFS is normal as well as a two pass BBS. I'm finding it hard to go to my other razors in my rotation because this razor is so pleasant to use. I have no reservations in recommending the razor to anyone.

Outstanding razor!
