  • RazoRock Game Changer OPEN COMB 68 Safety Razor

Do you shave only a few times a week? Do you want ultra-efficiency but a gentle feeling safety razor? Do you like the clog-proof characteristics of a well-designed open comb razor? If you answered YES to any of these three questions the Game Changer OPEN COMB 68 may be the perfect razor for you! The Game Changer OPEN COMB 68 is designed to be a mild shaving open comb razor that offers you the efficiency of a much more aggressive razor. The fully milled teeth make the razor virtually clog-proof for up to 4-5 days of growth, ideal for users that prefer shaving only once or twice a week. The beauty of the RazoRock Game Changer platform is you can purchase up to six different baseplates each offering very different shaving characteristics and use the same top cap and handle.

Why did we call this razor the Game Changer? It's really simple! This razor was produced to a standard that is superior to razors which typically costs 4-8 times the price, yet in usual RazoRock fashion, we are bringing you the highest standards of quality at a price everyone can afford. The RazoRock Game Changer is built to last a lifetime, machined from marine grade billet stainless steel, the same way a Swiss watch case is machined. This is a razor you can depend on forever!

Finish: Please note, these razors are tools, not jewels. We use a vibratory tumbling finish process which maintains the highest possible tolerances for the razors. This means the razors will not be mirror finished and will not be mark-free. The razors may have some milling marks or finishing marks. The razors can always be jewelry polished by the client later but our goal is to sell the razor at the best possible tolerances and lowest possible price.

    Blade Gap: 0.68 mm

    Blade Exposure: Positive

Material: 316L Marine Grade Stainless Steel

    Build: Fully CNC milled

    PROUDLY MADE IN ONTARIO, CANADA

Finish: 3 stages, 24 hours, machine vibratory finish. It's important to note that our finish is designed to de-burr and make the pieces smooth with minimum effect on machining tolerances. It's a tool-like finish and not a mirror-type high polish; each piece is unique (no two pieces will be identical). We don't believe in hand polishing our machined safety razors because it's self-defeating. We spend so much time and effort getting the tolerances tight, a hand polish will just ruin these tolerances. We would rather give you a quality tool-like finish at a great price and leave it up to you if you want to put a jewelry type polish or gun-kote at the razor later at additional cost.

Other Details: Each razor is engraved with a unique serial number.

How to load the blade: The easiest way to load a DE blade into the RazoRock Game Changer razor is to put the base plate of the razor head (the flat one) in the palm of your hand, then drop DE blade over the alignment posts. Then you can put the top cap on and proceed to screw down the handle locking the blade into the razor head.

    Efficient with comfort

This Razor is surprisingly comfortable. The OC base plates make for an efficient and close shave every time. My biggest problem is choosing between this razor and the Superslant. Both products are made with precision. Don’t be afraid of Open Comb plates…this razor is very comfortable.

    First open comb!

I have been wet shaving for half a year, my first razor was a Henson al13 , but I moved on to the GC with the 76 solid plate. I like the 76P better than my Henson, but I had been thinking about trying an open comb head for a while, or the 68p. The I found the solid bar was out of stock but the 68oc was in stock so I have been using that for the last few weeks and enjoying it a lot. If you're scared of open combs like I was , it's way less scary than it looks. It's not a huge difference from the 76p, but I feel like the open comp glides easier and allows me to be more precise in tricky spots. Theres more blade feel but it hits different and I have been enjoying it a lot. I think once 68p is in stock I'd still like to try it, but this 68 OC is really nice to me, pretty awesome for my first open comb!

Ok my 4th RazoRock razor. I have GC 68 open comb and GC 84-P. They have replaced my Parker convertable 69CR. I tried the 84-P and like it. So what the he'll I'll try the 68 open comb also. My thinking was the Parker convertable come with two heads one open comb one safty bar. The open comb is mild, so maybe I'll find a replacement. The 84-P and 68 open comb have taken Parkers place. Anyhow I kicked the Parker to the curb like an old girlfriend. Cya later!

    Smooth, Mild, Efficient

Love it. Period. I got mine with the HD handle, I prefer shorter, more maneuverable handles. This sucker is heavy. My previous two favs were iKon OC and Merkur 34C HD, which are noticeably lighter by comparison. This has less blade feel than either of those, which to me means milder. However, where I usually have issues going ATG on my chin, whether mild or aggressive, leaving small weepers in the recesses where I have to work for it, the GC OC caused no irritation at all. My first shave with it left me with a very clean and comfortable DFS two-pass shave. I could have easily made it BBS with a third pass, but no need, I'm just going to work.

This first shave I paired it with Personna Lab blade, day 2 on the blade. Made a very nice shave. Looking forward to trying a Feather, and GSB, all in time.
