  • RazoRock Ceramic Shaving Scuttle - Black

One of the best parts of a traditional wet shave is the warm lather. Now you can easily create your own warm lather at home with the RazoRock shaving scuttle! Simply fill the chamber with hot tap water and insert the silicon plug so the heat stays contained, then create a lather in the scuttle using your favorite shaving brush and your choice of shaving cream or soap. Whisk the cream/soap in the bowl using the shaving brush until your cream/soap turns into a luxurious hot and thick lather, then apply to your beard and shave.

Some key points that make the RazoRock scuttle great:

    1. Uniquely designed with horizontal and vertical lines to create tension for your lather
    2. Deep bowl to hold a good amount of lather in without your brush handle positioned perfectly above the rim
    3. High volume capacity inner chamber that can hold up to 10oz of hot water to keep your lather warm
    4. Large handle for comfort and ease of use

RazoRock is always trying to bring you high-quality products at a low price, we knew we would be able to do the same with a shaving scuttle...now available and we hope you enjoy it.  RazoRock's Ceramic shaving scuttle is perfect for achieving a 3 pass warm lather shave.  A luxury shave with RazoRock products can be achieved without having to break the bank!

Don’t tell anyone but this is a steal

I’ve bought a few shaving mugs and scuttles and bowls all for much more than this one. Some look good but don’t work well, others are okay. I saw this one for $24.95 and thought “Do I really need another one?” Turns out I did need this! It works perfectly with or without hot water in it. For me the size of the bowl and angle of the wall is perfect. I’m not banging my brush handle against the sides as with some mugs I own, and yet it’s easy to hold with the handle. And, bonus, the base fits on my Mr. Coffee electric warming pad thing that I use to keep lather warm. That gets the water in the scuttle to stay nice and warm while I’m in the shower.

I don't know when you'll read this but as I write it it's summer and some days it's hot enough that the last thing I want is heated lather. I was going to buy a separate lathering bowl and it dawned on me to just use the scuttle without putting any hot water in it. It works great, and saved me a little cash, too. The scuttle itself is nice and thick and hefty, it feels well made and the bumps on the bottom and ridges up the side make lather quickly and well. I couldn't find a cheaper one anywhere and was a little nervous it would be poorly made but it's a good bit of work. One minor complaint, the funnel it comes with has a mouth about the same diameter as the opening on the scuttle. I don't even use it, just holding the scuttle under the tap works fine.

There is something courteous about receiving clear, neatly typed instructions with an item. I didn't find any instructions in the box.

That you aren't expected to know how to use something. It comes with a small plastic funnel and a rubber stopper. The kind of rubber you get with swimmer's earplugs. This is my first scuttle, so I don't have a wide sphere of experience in using them.

IB must respect their customers and it is sad that the message is lost upon receipt of this product. I haven't tried it out, yet. They could always change the tab from manufactuer, where they write one word to instructions, for those items that need them. Brushes can use instructions. I didn't know you weren't supposed to use really hot water on brushes, that it can loosen the glue and the knot and shorten its life. So can some safety razors. This item, in particular seems to scream that instructions are appropriate, but that is just me.

      Nice.

Very nice scuttle for a very nice price.
I’m very happy with it & it’s really nice for building a warm lather that lasts at least 3 passes!

      Scuttle

Love this Scuttle, whips up lather in a couple minutes with the grooves inside the scuttle.
Also has a nice large handle. With the brush sitting in the hot lather between passes , you'll get 3 very warm luxurious passes. I noticed that it really brings out the scent of your soap or cream once warmed. I'll be using this scuttle daily without a doubt.
For under 25 dollars it's changed my shaving experience for the better. Should have bought a scuttle years ago.
