Rapira blades are very forgiving and I hardly get nicks. Purchased a cheap Baili BT131 razor for travel and now it is one of my favorite razors. More blade feel and slightly more efficient than Gillette Fat Handle (made in USA) which is a mild razor.
My shave prep: cold water shave – still use hot shower and apply hair conditioner to soften my stubble then apply cold tap water to my face and use cold lather which is results in irritation free shave.
Using the same shave prep, soap and razor: Rapira blades in order of sharpness in my IMHO: 1- Rapira Platinum Lux (above Astra Green), 2- Swedish Rapira (similar to Astra Green and Crystal), 3- Voskhod, 4- Rapira Stainless Steel (this blade) sharpness is similar to Voskhod but without the teflon coating, 5-Super Stainless (slightly less sharper than Rapira Stainless), 6-Ladas (great mild blades).
