    There is no better test of greatness than “standing the test of time” and Cella Crema Sapone passes with flying colours.  As far as I know, the formula for Cella is virtually unchanged since it's introduction in 1899.   In Italy, you will find many master barbers and experienced wet-shavers that consider Cella to be the greatest shaving soap ever produced and after personally usually Cella dozens of times, I certainly share the same opinion.

    Cella comes in two formats, a 150 ml screw-top red “Ciotola” (tub/bowl) and a 1000ml block in a red cardboard box.  Being a soft soap, pieces can easily be sliced off the block and molded into your favorite shaving bowl or mug.  For those that prefer convenience and travel often, the 150 ml Ciotola is the preferred choice.  Cella is scented of sweet almonds or marzipan.

    Cella is first-class in every regard... purest natural ingredients, shave performance, scent and presentation.  You will be hard-pressed to find a better shaving soap any where in the world, at any price!

    Note:  I've been told the 1000ml brick will provide over 2 years of daily shaving; A true value!

    Excellent Cream Shave Soap! Weight Listed is Mis-leading...

    This is a top quality shave cream soap.
    One caveat however, the box weight or measurement of amount states:
    1000 ml. NOT 1000 g.! Only on the Italian Barber website does the box photo state "1000 g." One the CELLA website and on AMAZON the box quantity is stated as 1000 ml.
    Milliliters is a VOLUME measurement, not a weight measurement. Therefore, the weight will be lighter than 1000 grams as stated on the box on this website. Upon receipt of my order the box stated "1000 ml." NOT grams. The block of soap in its poly wrapper weighed 896 grams which is consistent with fats weighing less than water based on a milliliter measurement. Upon further research; on online fats calculator shows Beef Tallow weighing 866.4 grams for 1000 ml. of volume.
    Please correct the product's photo to correctly show proper measurement of "1000 ml. e" as shown on the box from the CELLA website: https://cellamilano.it/en/shaving-products/cream-soap

    New packaging was changed and now shows 1000ml. Website has been updated.

    Really impressed with the post-shave feel. Cheaper soaps usually don’t have the post shave feel like this does. My sensitive skin feels great. Impressed. The sweet almond scent is very mild and I don’t notice after I’m done shaving which is great when picking out aftershaves. Wife uses the same soap but has more leg area than I do face, this brick lasts and is cost effective.

    Was concerned about the scent, but the almond is very subtle, while removing my stuble.

    Cella 1000 gram

    Have used Cella for many years and it lathers well without perfume additions. Best to cut the block into pieces that will fit into your shaving bowl. Smaller pieces actually work better because less chance to dry out. Suggest putting the cut blocks into freezer bags and tossing in the freezer which keeps the soap fresh for a long time. The 1000 gram block lasts upwards of 2 years!

    Great Deal

    I feel like I’m prepped for the apocalypse! Very nice product, similar to Proraso in performance, but with a nicer scent. I cut off a 100g chunk and moulded it into an empty container of a different product and stored the rest away in an air tight bag in the closet. Most likely won’t need to buy any more shaving soap or cream for two or three years at this point! Saves some money buying in bulk, and no reduction in quality! A great buy.
