  • RazoRock "What the Puck?!" Shaving Soap - Black Label (REFILL PUCK)

For a long time you've been asking for it, a triple milled hard puck from RazoRock! Admittedly, it took us a while to get this project off the ground. There just isn't many artisans left making triple milled hard shaving soaps, it's a dying art. Maybe it was luck, maybe destiny, but we were contacted by a small, four person (one family), artisan shop in northern Italy that was up to the task. After many test formulations and a personal visit to their shop, we're excited to tell you that we found the perfect hard puck formula for RazoRock! In typical RazoRock fashion, we believe you'll find the quality and the value to be unmatched in the marketplace.  We have decided to eliminate the plastic container and instead to stretch wrap the pucks to reduce the amount of plastic waste and keep prices as low as possible.

Lathering Tip: This is a hard triple milled soap so loading your shaving brush and creating a great lather will take longer than a soft soap, cream or croap. If you've used Tabac or Mitchell's Wool Fat the technique will be similar, about 45-60 second of good loading and then a minute or two of creating the lather, adding droplets of water to your brush or lathering bowl, as need. The finished lather should be a nice yogurt consistency.

    Scent: A Classic Barbershop Fougere

Size: 100 grams (3.5 oz) Refill Puck - Approximately 8cm (3.15 inch) Diameter - Stretch Wrapped

    Artisan made in Italy.

Triple milled recipe, enriched with Shea Butter and Lanolin.

What the Puck hard shaving soaps are great to drop into your favorite mug or shaving bowl; they can also be rubbed on your face and used as a shaving stick or lathered by holding the soap in your palm. They are formulated to be left out in the open air, there is no need to cover them after use.

Ingredients: Potassium Palmate, Sodium Palmate, Potassium Stearate, Potassium Palm Kernelate, Sodium Stearate, Potassium Cocoate, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Glycerin, Aqua, Parfum (Fragrance), Palm Kernel Acid, Glyceryl Caprylate Caprate, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Lanolin, Pentasodium Pentatate, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Alpha-hexylcinnamaldehyde, Geraniol, Lemon oil, Citronellol, Alpha Hisomethyl Ionone, 4-Allyl-2-Methoxyphenol

Best deal For Soap around great scent

I bought the 4 pack of WTP soaps 2 years ago and each one lasts a year. I just started using the black puck. Unreal scent. My Dad wore Paco Rabanne and Aramis. To me, this smells like Aramis, which I LOVE. Lathers great 50 swirls in the container then 50 swirls in each direction in the scuttle will give you the yogurt consistency you're looking for. Loved the blue and green as well. A grand slam deal from the Italian Barber.

    EXCELLENT VALUE

Man the triple milled Razorock soaps are fantastic! Inexpensive and they last forever. Much different formula than the other RR soap bases so if you were not impressed with the older Razorock formulas, or just want to try something new this is worth checking out for sure. This Black Label has a cologne type scent kind of hard to describe. They call it a Fougere but is not very green or herbal but has some spicy notes yet is clean without being a aquatic scent. This one is my favorite of all the triple milled scents and is fairly complex especially considering the price.

Soap lathers great and as mentioned, it is a hard puck so a bit heavier load may help untill you get to know the soap base and dial in the loading time, Can hold a bit of water without breaking down yet does not require a ton of water to get a protective lather. Am looking forward to see what other scents Razorock comes up with for this soap base. Highly HIGHLY recommend checking these soaps out.

    Very strong scent that lasts

This soap keeps going and going. Unlike your typical 5oz soft soap that lasts only 50 shaves, this soap will last double that being triple milled. The scent is from original Paco Rabanne Pour Homme. It is 100% match to that scent created in 1970. If you are looking for matching cologne, that's the one to get.

    Nice Lather...

I first tried putting this stuff right on my face as the other review suggested and its didn't go well. I followed the instruction on the product description (load brush, build in bowl, thin till a light cream), and it made for an excellent smooth shave. I would give it 5 starts but the sent is a bit strong. Wife says she likes it but its bit overpowering for me.

Concienous packaging makes sense esp bc I like to face latherer. Just use it like a shave stick. The triple-mill recipe will keep this one around a while alone, but the scent will keep you coming back. See my review of the matching splash as it is spot on. What a quality line to have in your den and IB is a pleasure to do business with. This one is a must-have.
