The Semogue 2015 HD (High Density) Silvertip Shaving Brush is densely filled with premium silvertip badger hair, which means a luxurious soft feel that equals a perfect shave. This Semogue model features a beautifully turned oak wooden handle and of course the trademark metal ring that appears on every Semogue brush.

    Knot diameter: 22 mm
    Bristle loft: 57 mm
    Handle height: 53 mm

    Made in Portugal

Note: Natural animal bristle brushes will have a slight odor when new; this odor will disappear after after a dozen or so uses. Also, boar brushes need about 15-20 uses to 'break-in', you will notice a huge improvement after a month of daily use.

I really enjoy using this brush. I have a variety of brushes in rotation including some nice boars, 2 band badger, mixed knot, synthetic, and this is the most enjoyable for me. It has enough backbone to load up any soap I've used with it just fine. It feels really nice and soft on the face, I don't like that scratchy feel from a "pure" badger. It whips up a great lather and releases it really well. The handle is ergonic for my hands and the finish is nice on it, it would be nice if it had a side engraving like the SOC line instead of the sticker but it is what it is. It's just a fun brush to use and performs well, I plan on getting the acrylic handle version at some point.
