    What is a RazoRock SLOC?

SLOC is an acronym for Self Lubricating Open Comb.

The RazoRock SLOC is based on a 1940's vintage razor called the Grand Shave King Self Lubricating razor.

What makes the SLOC different is the open comb teeth on both the top cap and the base plate. The design helps to trap extra shaving lather in the teeth providing extra lubrication and glide on each stroke of the razor. Some people even call it the ultimate blade buffing razor because you can go over the same spot several times with less chance of irritation.

The RazoRock SLOC uses any standard double-edge (DE) razor blades.

Very quickly becoming one of my favs

After previously purchasing the RR Old Type open comb as my 1st OC razor, I decided to venture further with the SLOC. Absolutely amazed with both razors. Quality, looks and performance of both exceeds the remaining 30 or so other CC razors in my arsenal. BBS shave in 2 passes with no nicks or weepers. Outfitted both with Bulldog handles which are perfect for my hands and provide great grip and control. The most amazing thing is the fact that they are so affordable. Perform as well or better than comparable razors costing 3X more. Thanks, Italian Barber. You have turned me into a RR fan for life.

    FANTASTIC!

This is without a doubt the best razor head I have ever used. Not only does it cut week old growth effortlessly, efficiently, and effectively but, it is easily cleaned, (without having to unscrew the entire head) as the slots catch most of the hairs. This is a great feature for anyone who spends much of their time in the outdoors, as I do. But, what I find most incredible, is that it is also one of the least irritating razor heads I have ever used (I have razor bumps/sensitive skin); even with “Feather” brand razors which are much too irritating in my Gillette Fat Boy set at 2 or 3. In short, it has become my GoTo, and my absolute favorite.

    Fantastic

This razor is amazing. I have bought about 25 razors looking for the closest shave without being cut. The includes Merkur, Viking, Edwin Jaeger, Parker, Muhle, Gillette, and Rockwell. I have tried open comb, closed comb, and slant. And several different Razorocks and adjustable razors. BTW on the Razorocks the mission is great but the mentor is way too aggressive for me.

The SLOC is by far the best of all the razors i have tried. I have found the ultimate razor and about the lowest price of all that I have bought. Somehow this gives an incredibly close shave with no damage done.

    Very nice razor

I have the SLOC with a UFO handle. It's a very nice razor. It's a touch more aggressive than the Merkur 15c and Old Type, but I would still consider it a little more mild than medium aggression. I get two-pass DFS shaves with it every time with no irritation. For me, it works best at a neutral angle. Going steep caused some irritation.

I would describe this as an honest razor. While it is mild enough to not cause serious irritation, it will let you know immediately if you made any errors in pressure or angle. The Merkur 15c and Old Type let you get away with mistakes due to their recessed blade exposures.

It's a fantastic razor regardless of the price. You may want to buy some cheap M5 vinyl washers and place one between the handle and the base plate because the plate scratches very easily when tightening the handle.
