  • The RazoRock 24 Barrel finest is a brush we are very excited about, a handle that took us much time to execute properly. Although the barrel seems like a simple design, it's proportions are critical to achieve both aesthetic beauty and great feel. The brush is very comfortable in the hand and great for face lathering because your thumb, pointer and middle fingers get close to the base of the knot when held, similar to how most master barbers hold a traditional shaving brush. This 24 Barrel brush is fitted with a densely packed 24 mm finest badger knot.  These finest badger knots offer more backbone and are ideal for people that enjoy face lathering.  The soft white tips provide for a luxurious feel.

24 mm x 57 mm Finest Badger Knot

    Handle Material: Black resin

    Little Beast!

Do not let the price fool you! This is a great little brush, very comfortable and capable of producing a nice luxurious lather. I picked this over the silvertip because I have several silvertip brushes and I have zero “finest badger”. Well I like the finest badger quite a bit. The backbone is nice and it has the ability to work into the face if you like that sort of thing, there is no prickly feel, and it stands up like no other brush I own! Bowl lathering is great flat bowls and grooved bowls work well. Nice all around brush. Break in period did not take long, no hair drop and now this brush is a daily driver. The handle has a nice bit of heft to it, it feels like a solid turned acrylic piece and fits in the hand well. I like to call this brush my Little Beast!

Bored with synthetics? This is the cure.

So, I've been doing this for 12.5 years. I've been through many brushes of all kinds. Cheap badger, expensive badger, lots of boar, early/crummy synthetics, etc. I had pretty much settled on the 24 barrel synthetic. (this is the perfect handle for me BTW.). It seemed to do everything I needed. Soft tips, no stink, great loading, great lathering, looks cool, etc. I realized something was missing. When this went on sale, I decided to give it a try.

This is IT. I love the way it retains water, AND retains heat. I felt like my lather was always a bit cold with synthetics. This is the best of both worlds. Great handle. Doesn't smell bad. Nice thick/dense knot. Scrubby, without hurting. The only tiny negative = it's lost quite a few hairs in its first few uses. I know now after many years, it's not a problem. That's the reality of breaking in a new badger brush. I would buy this again in a second. Maybe, I'll buy more of them.
