  • SICILY uses our RazoRock Super Tallow Formula enriched with Shea Butter, Argan Oil, Aloe Vera and Lanolin, for a nourishing post-shave feel and superior razor glide.

A truly magical island in the Mediterranean sea, Sicily gets far less praise than it deserves, mainly because it's not a common tourist hot spot like other regions of Italy. I assure you though, once you visit Sicily, you will want to go back as often as you can! We have so many Sicilian family and friends that a SICILY shaving soap was an absolute must, so we studied all our favorite Sicilian aromas and combined them into a harmonic blend that I believe captures the essence of the island in a little black RazoRock jar. Sicilian citrus fruits that grow everywhere... sweet almond that is so often found in a morning granita or biscuit... that hint of vanilla in a freshly made cannoli and fragrant amber and woods that are so common in a warm Sicilian breeze.

Please note that the soap is a rich brown color due to the Vanillin in the formula. RazoRock shaving cream soaps are best used with a traditional shaving brush; if you are new to wet shaving, be sure to check out our RazoRock Plissoft brushes, they offer incredible value and performance.

In case you are wondering about the label... The three legged Medusa is called "trinacria". The three bent legs represent the three capes of Sicily and the Medusa is symbolic of the fertility of the land in Sicily. It's the official symbol of Sicily and can be found on their flag and coat of arms.

    Super Soap

Great price and performance. Getting a soap with tallow at this price is getting harder and harder to do. Builds a nice lather very quickly. Slick with a pleasant smell. Aroma of almond and vanilla.

Smell is delicious and the slickness is devine. Easy lathering and for the money it can't be beaten. Thanks Razorock! Another winner.

It’s a darker colored shaving soap nice fragrance

It’s a darker colored shaving soap nice fragrance
I have probably 10 or more shaving soaps from the razorock the darker ones are not my favorite but they’re still very nice the Italian way of making shaving soap in my Opinionis far superior to any other types I’ve tried many brands and this is my all-time favorite the razorock line

    Excellent

Sicily has a great, slightly sweet perfume like scent. My face still has a close feel after 12 hours. Post shave is great after a Thayers witch hazel splash followed by aloe and vitamin E Poraso. Sicily reminds me a bit of Caribbean Holiday mainly because it's also brown. The only draw is that it takes a bit more work than I'm used to with RR soaps. It's still a croap but just requires a bit more time to lather. Not a big deal but I can tell i've been spoiled by RR soaps.

    Smells like play-doh to me

Most of the Razorock shave soaps I've tried have provided a slick and cushioned shave, and Sicily is no exception. But there must be something off about the one I got, as it smells more like a vanilla infused play-doh, vs the wonderful notes I was led to expect. It's not terrible, just not especially close to expectation - which to me was something a bit closer to a vanilla enhanced Cella type of scent. And the bergamot? Is there really bergamot in this stuff? I feel like this deserves more like a 3.5 than 3 stars, but I also need to keep it real and offset some of the unrealistically glowing reviews I see all over this site. So I offer this criticism in the hope that IB/RR will take it to heart and improve this promising product.
