Semogue 610 Premium Boar Bristle Shaving Brush in Red

I am a slow learner. It took me 45 years of wet shaving and several torrid, sometimes steamy affairs with other brushes before I found The One. Synthetics, badgers, and other boars were romanced, and while I came close to falling in love with the Semogue 830, and then the 620, and even briefly became engaged to a petite little Omega badger/boar, it is the 610 I intend to love and honor 'til death do us part. Along the way I have discovered soft soaps; they can be even more delightful than hard pucks, and the 610 is up to both. The lovely 610 is the perfect size, 21 mm, the perfect loft 50 mm, and is better built than a movie starlette. Be prepared for a long courtship. The 610 must be wooed. Go slow; be gentle and in due time the brush will soften and reveal her charms.

I wanted to take a minute to write a review on this brush, BC it has become a new favorite of mine. This brush is a gorgeous brush, and it is perfect for face lathering.... It has actually become my new favorite face lathering brush! Mostly because it has good density, and great backbone! Another reason I love it is BC of it gorgeous handle...it has a great shape that makes it very easy to control and keep a grip on, and also it's acrylic, so it's very low maintenance, and lasts forever without having to worry about it splitting or paint flaking.... Also, I usually anticipate losing a few hairs during the break-in period, especially during the first few shaves, but this brush has only lost one or two hairs out of all the times I've used it , and test lathered with it....I also love the way the bleach white hair looks with both color handles.... Five stars for sure....if it had a higher rating to pick I'd go higher....Buy it!!
