  • Proraso Shaving Soap Jar - Sandalwood with Shea Butter - For Tough Beards - SUPER FORMULA

Since 1948, Proraso has been innovators in shaving products for men.  A few years ago, Proraso realized there was a need for a special line of shaving products specifically made for men with "tough beards". You know who you are, the men that can dull a razor blade after one pass. In comes Proraso shaving soap, enriched with sandalwood oil and shea butter, formulated as a super emollient shaving soap that will soften even the toughest of beards. It's designed to be used with a traditional shaving and if you want my advice, I recommend face lathering it with a RazoRock Chubby Extra Silvertip badger brush. Men with tough beards will benefit greatly from face lathering because the brush will work the lather into the beard for a nice long time, preparing your beard for easy slicing.

Proraso also makes a matching pre shave cream in the same line, also enriched with sandalwood oil and shea butter, a perfect companion for men with tough beards. If you prefer a shaving cream over a shaving soap, the same great formula is offered in cream form, in a tube. Don't forget you can always send us an email if you have questions, we are happy to help you find the perfect shaving products for your face.

    Very Nice

I had been using TOBS Sandalwood and liked the performance but didn't care for the strong perfume scent. So based on the great reviews I tried this soap. The initial scent is medicinal like the Proraso Green but one you lather it on your face the Sandalwood comes through. Its not strong but its plain Sandalwood which is great. Its not the best performer compared to others but Im very happy with it and at the price you should give it a try. It pairs nicely with Captain's Choice Sandalwood. Didnt care for Proraso red AS.

    Great soap!

I like Sandal wood soaps and TOBS Sandal wood has to be one of the Best when it comes to masculine scent.
So I had a chance to purchase some Proraso Red a while back having to try their version of Sandal wood and it has a slightly different scent then TOBS version of Sandal wood IMO. I found the scent Ok and around mid range with lather properties in the excellent range. A very easy soap to lather but clean up will some times leave a fine film of soap on razor so you know it has protection for your skin if leaving a film of soap. I prefer the Proraso Red over the green in the winter months when it is a lot colder. What I like to do when using the Proraso Red is take out a small almond size amount and place it in the lather bowl night before and in the morning the soap has dried out a little and I find the fragrance very close to the Proraso red Aftershave scent. I really enjoy the Proraso red aftershave and with the combination of the two gives a real nice shave and finish to start the day off.

    Amazing

It really make a difference for hard wisker, i use it twice and i get a easy bbs with no touch up pass. I trie it with a german 37 and pre use crystal blade and i never feel the blade. The smell is strong but agreable , the cautionning is perfect and is easy to lathe. This soap going on my top rotation product.
